Another start of the school year

Oh, hello LiveJournal! Long time, no see!! Either I've decided that this is getting old for me, or I finally managed to get a life.

Condsidering that I've decided to update again, I rule out both options. I've missed you terribly as I'm sure you've missed me too.

The biggest thing that I have to talk about right now is the fact that I'm back at college. No, not SLU, but rather NVCC. Basically because this is the only place that will take me with the grades that I have. But it wouldn't be fair not to mention that it's the only place I feel most comfortable at that feels like a second home. I'm finally getting my feet wet again and taking the initiative to finish up my schooling...for now. What the future holds for me, only time will tell. But right now, it looks as though I'll be getting my Associates Degree here and a Bachelor's Degree in (hopefully) Boston, MA. :)

As much as I love being back at school, I know that I have a lot of hard work ahead of me. Starting with reading my schedule correctly. Because I didn't look at it carefully, I ended up in the wrong class at the wrong time on the wrong day. Me = stupid. In the end, it turns out that I have another 3 and 1/2 hours to wait until my REAL class today begins. Hence why I've decided to sit down and update a little bit since I haven't in about 3 months.

Things otherwise are alright. A little stressed in the financial department of my life, but I have great people surrounding me that will help me through these tough times. My best friend has been nothing less than a good person who has been there for me for the past 8 months and I continually thank her for that. Without her, I really don't think I'd be sitting in a computer lab at school right now. She's really pushed me to my limits and beyond to get a degree and, without that motivation, I really don't know if I would've been able to do it on my own.

That's not to say that I haven't had other influences on my life. My parents, for another example, have supported me with whatever I think is best for me. Although it gets annoying since I still live in the same house as them, it really does pay off in the end. But, I have to admit, I'm glad that they're leaving for 3 weeks to go to Cape Cod. I'll be much more relaxed during that time.

I don't want to force things out right now, so this is where I leave you for the time being. Maybe later I'll be able to write more, so when the time comes, I'll find a computer and sit down to chat. :)

Bored and updating for the hell of it

I haven't had a real update in a long while. And because I'm bored and killing time, let's change that, shall we?

Things, for the most part, are good. I'm working a lot, but I have hardly any real time for myself anymore. Having to be at work at 4:30 almost every morning means I need to be in bed no later than 9 pm for a good, full night's sleep. However (and yes, this is a good however), I've been finding myself going out every night in spite of having to wake up so early the next day. Is it worth it? Oh yeah; it's worth it. :)

The lack of sleep doesn't seem to catch up with me as much as I would've thought it would. Unless, of course, I'm out until 1 AM and only get a nap in before a long shift. Which has happened a couple times in the past month and a half. But again, I stress that it's definitely worth it because I get to spend time with such an amazing friend that losing the needed sleep I should be getting doesn't even come into my mind for a split second.

All in all, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't mostly happy with my life right now. I have a steady job, good friends, and a loving family that'll support my decisions whatever they may be.

My hands are beginning to hurt from typing so much. Even though I don't consider this to be a terribly long entry, the lack of writing is certainly taking a toll on my arms.

Because of my crazy work and life schedule, I can't remember if today's Groundhog Day or not. Can someone who has a sense of the year fill me in on this, please? And whether or not we can expect 6 more weeks of winter weather?

Although I find that kind of amusing, really: I mean, spring doesn't start until the last half of March, right? So technically even if the groundhog didn't see his shadow, wouldn't we still have 6 more weeks of winter?
